The decision to sell Hutinga arose because of my decreasing mobility and I realised matters were not being addressed.
Selecting a real estate agent/s to assist with this process was given careful consideration, and on reflection, the selection of Blair Stevens and Dave Hutchison of NZR was pivotal in achieving a strong result.

Our family worked with Blair and Dave from NZR in the purchase of two adjoining blocks totalling 154ha just south of Greytown. We had previously indicated what class and size of land we were after, and received a proactive notification from Blair. Throughout the rest of the sales process we worked with Dave, and were extremely impressed with his service.
Dave was extremely professional and prompt in responding to requests. He had clearly done his research and knew the property well, and acted with integrity throughout the process.
The process involved some complexity due to one of the adjoining blocks being marketed by another agency and under different processes, and us requiring both blocks to suit our requirements. Dave managed this complexity, ensuring that we primarily only had to deal with NZR.
I would not hesitate to recommend the services of NZR, Blair and Dave to others. For us the process was hassle free, with the outcome being the result we were after.

Our 125Ha seasonal supply dairy farm at Browns Rd, Pahiatua was successfully sold at auction in December 2014. The marketing and sale was conducted by Blair Stevens of NZR Real Estate.
The process began many months prior with a clearly defined marketing strategy being developed for the auction on 11th December. The strategy included such elements as a timeline of critical dates, a clearly defined advertising campaign targeting key geographical areas outside the immediate location and details such as the location of the auction and the auctioneer himself. All relevant farm data was collated, including the financial performance over the last five years and presented in hard copy and DVD to prospective purchasers.
I was impressed by the level of professionalism and dedication to details displayed by Blair throughout the process. The strategy was successfully implemented, all timetables were met and the farm was successfully sold at auction 11th Dec 2014. Testament to a successful marketing strategy was the fact that despite the difficult market conditions - at the outset Fonterra's milk price was $7 Kg Ms which declined to $4.70 Kg Ms just prior to auction - the price received per Ha was a record for the area.
